4-Prong Dryer Cord

This dryer cord is 6 feet long and is used on dryers that plug into a 4 prong receptacle. It is connected to the main terminal block on the back of your dryer and is connected to a 4 prong dryer receptacle.

 

How to connect a 4 wire dryer cord.
There are 3 lugs on the dryer terminal block. Connect the red and black wires from the cord to the left and right posts of the terminal block. The red and black wires from the cord can go on either side of the terminal block they are interchangeable. Then connect the white (neutral) to the center post. The green wire should be attached to the dryer chassis. The picture below shows the green wire hooked to the center (neutral) and this is WRONG! The green wire should be connected to the screw where the green wire on the chassis is connected.
