How to find your range or oven model number.

 

First off, do not rely on the owner's guide or user manual that came with your range. Owners guides are used for many models by appliance manufacturers, therefore the model number listed on your owner's guide or user manual, may not be specific to your model.

 

Secondly, you should know that no range or oven leaves the factory without a model and serial number tag on it. Here are some locations where you might find your model and serial number tag.

 

Start off by looking in an easy place, pull out the drawer, if applicable and see if your range or oven model number tag is located on the frame on the right or left hand side. If you don't find it there, open the door and look around the frame starting with the top middle. Next look under the cooktop or under a burner. Some manufacturers put the model and serial number tag on the right or left hand side of the range, usually down low.

 

Lastly, on rare occasions range manufacturers will put the model and serial number tag on the back. But that is the last place you should look because most likely it's going to be in a more convenient place.
